Babes Park

Babes Park

Babeș Park was built by the scientist and professor Dr. Iuliu Hatieganu between 1930 and 1932. Financed by his own funds and with public money, Babeș Park was established in the memory of his only son, who died at age 8.

Babeș Park is located along the Someș River, in the western part of the city and enclosed in an area of 25 hectares.

Babeș Park offers the opportunity for all sports fans to perform a variety of sports (athleticism, swimming, competitive sports, and so on.) Also, Babeș Park is an oasis of peace and relaxation for anyone who wants an enjoyable walk.
